Spring is just around the corner

I'm sure you are feeling it too.  Spring is in the air.  This weekend I spent a lot of time with my new (to me) camera - Nikon F3.  I have a bunch of learning, but I'm very happy with my first roll.  Above are some of my favorites.

Mystical Sunrise

This morning stands solely as my all time favorite sunrise to date.  Light pastel colors were everywhere, a soft misty fog hung low to the ground and everything was covered with due.  Everyone I passed was wearing a smile.  It felt like I was walking on a dream.  The first four are outtakes from sunrise 311, the fifth is 311 with edits.

First Walk-A-Bout

I had another great weekend.  Saturday, was mostly for rest and cleaning.  Sunday, I hit up the Beach Blvd. flea market and had a Nikon F3 in my hand.  The Camera Man walked me through all its features.  I plan on going back next weekend and picking it up.  He was only asking $225 for it.  Later, that afternoon, I did my first of many Walk-A-Bouts.  The photos above are my favorites - I was looking for pinks but really only found reds.  On the way home I spotted what I think will be my next shot for Twelve.  Sadly, I was all out of film.
